TBF Folsom Lake International Triathlon (FLIT)
The Folsom Lake International Triathlon takes place at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake, with a 1.5K lake swim, 40K scenic road bike on country roads and a challenging 10K trail run.
The Olympic-distance Triathlon and Aquabike are sanctioned by USA Triathlon, requiring an annual or one-day license with USAT. Included for each competitor is a swim cap, post race refreshments and custom Folsom Lake Triathlon Runners Hat.

Triathlon 102:Transition Workshop
A triathlon is comprised of three different disciplines, swimming, cycling, and running, but how do you move from one of those to sports to the next? Join this Transition workshop to learn how to set up your transition area for the best possible outcome for your race.
You'll see a demonstration of T0 (pre race setup), T1, and T2, find out what “Race Brain” is, as well as get tips and tricks for organizing your setup.
We'll also do a jog-through re-creation of the swim to T1 portion of the Club Championships in August, and answer any questions you may have.

Redding Ironman Recon

Granite Bay Tri Club Championship
The 28th Annual Granite Bay Triathlon is the NorCal/Nevada Tri Club Championship Race, and has one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in California for a Sprint Triathlon with a .75 mile lake swim, an 11-mile, wto-lap bike course, and an always interesting 5-mile trail run on a combination of fire road, single track and pavement.
The Above The Mean Tri Club (pictured above) will be vying for their 2nd consecutive championship this year!
Athletes will receive a Granite Bay Triathlon finisher shirt and hat, plus a post-race lunch.

Tour de Fuzz
The Tour de Fuzz (Tdf) has been described as a one-of-a-kind event and the “FUNNEST RIDE” in Northern California. Some say it’s the finish line party, all-you-can-eat BBQ, gourmet sides, unlimited local IPA beers and wine. Others claim it’s the scenic wine country routes and full-service rest stops. While many riders simply enjoy the SAG (Support & Gear) vehicles with off-duty cop/cyclists and the police swag giveaways.
The Tour de Fuzz includes three scenic wine country ride options. Turn-by-turn printed directions and rest stop maps will be provided at rider check-in. Routes are well marked by colored arrows on the pavement, too.
For 100 mile riders, make sure you stop to pick up a timing chip at the bottom of the big climb and see how you stack up against other riders. you could win a polka dot jersey!

Sacramento Century
This is a great final long ride for anyone doing Ironman California!
The Sacramento Century Challenge is the region’s premier cycling event, with well over 1,150 riders annually. Presented by the Rotary Club of Sacramento, the 12th annual Challenge will benefit the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery program, which protects kids from child abuse and neglect.
The bike ride starts from Capitol Mall in downtown Sacramento and winds through the scenic Delta wine region to Isleton, then back to the Mall.
There are four different routes: 100 mi., 63 mi., 36 mi., 16 mi. We also have a great Post-Ride Festival, with live music, delicious food and outstanding beer and wine vendors.

Ironman World Championships - KoNA

In 2026 the IRONMAN World Championship will return to a single race day, with men and women racing together, in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i.

TBF Icebreaker Triathlon
The ICE Breaker Triathlon is now in its 23rd year and is known as the best way to start your Triathlon racing season!
The races take place at Folsom Lake. The swim is in Folsom Lake with temperatures in the 60's. The bike course is on roads closed to traffic. The run courses are scenic and enjoyable along the beautiful shoreline of Folsom Lake.
Included for each athlete is a swim cap, athlete goody bag, hot post-race meal, and a pair of ICE Breaker Triathlon socks.

Sacramento to Davis Bike Ride
Join Amy and Sheila on this bike ride from Sacramento State University to Davis and back this Sunday.
Meet at the Guy West Bridge on the side of the river opposite Sac State at 9:30 (or at Sheila's at 9:15).
Ride over to Davis, grab a quick bite to eat and head back to Sacramento for about a 40 mile round trip.
Parking is available on University Avenue.
No bathrooms at bridge so don't plan on that.

TBF Chanoko 31k, 10k, & 5k
The Chanoko Trail Runs offer three distances to choose from: 31K, 10K, and 5K. Finishers at the 31K will receive a custom Finishers long-sleeve hoodie. Finishers in the 10K & 5K will receive finisher medals for both distances.
We will also have post-race food for all runners at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake, after their runs are finished.
Overall male and female Champions in each race will receive special Champion awards and age-group awards will be presented three-deep for both races.

Did you miss Quadzilla last Saturday, join us at Beals Point for son of Quadzilla! We'll head over to Beatty Hill and tackle it twice for a 25 mile round trip. Need more hill climbing? Do the loop again. Less climbing, do it once and head back to Beals Point.
Follow this up with a 5k run and claim your brick!
If nasty hills aren’t in your plan, do the loop around Lake Natoma for 20 miles, and add whatever you need to the distance, or do a couple laps up Folsom Dam hill.

Canceled-Open Water Swim - SF Bay Aquatic Park
This swim has been canceled!This is a great swim to prep for Ironman 70.3 Oceanside!
Start Time: 10AM
Location: Aquatic Park, SF
The Aquatic Park is a protected area (i.e. low boat traffic, chop, etc) that is a classic SF swimming spot. There is a buoy line to follow and swimmers can get in as many yards as they like. There are cement bleacher seats near the beach, we'll meet there.
Water temps are expected to be in the mid 50s (though can fluctuate higher or lower - check HERE for latest).
If you're not a cold water aficionado, wetsuit, thermal cap, and booties are all recommended - a warm swim poncho if you're feeling extra luxurious.
Bring your own swim buoy for safety, and for dry bag capabilities if possible; it is not recommended to leave valuables in your vehicle.
Pending how everyone is feeling afterwards and wait times, option to snag a warm breakfast at Buena Vista ~ 2 blocks from swim.
Street parking is available nearby. Public restrooms are available.

There are multiple routes you can choose from. Two possibilities are:
Top Half up over JC Bridge and around (7.4 miles, 542 feet)
Bottom Half down to Nimbus and around (11.1 miles, 308 feet)
You can always add a little more on either loop, or do an out-and-back if you'd like to shorten it.

Meet at Nimbus Flat at 8:00am for a 30 mile ride with over 2000 feet of climbing!
There is supposed to be a break in the rain so enjoy the morning riding! Vince will be leading a ride from Nimbus Flat to El Dorado Hills

Weekly Brick Workout - CANCELED
Meet at Nimbus Flat for a bike/run.
If the hills around the lake aren’t in your plan, ride west on the bike trail for a flatter ride, and if intervals don’t appeal to you, run a little flatter on the trail.
We have groups doing different things, so there's something for everyone. So whether it's a hilly 50 and a 10K, a 2 mile swim and a short run, or all three, we've got you covered.
